    Confessions of...
» Confessions of A Restricted Caller
    The Moron Always Rings Twice
I recently met a boy I liked. But he’s an actor, recently out of a relationship and Canadian. After two months of “hanging out” and learning that he was in fact dating an alien cyborg, I moved on. The problem is, my phone has not. I really should go through and delete a few of the two hundred and fifty contacts in my cell phone. But what if I have an emergency and suddenly need to call Tyne Daly? And what are the chances that I’ll find myself in San Francisco and need to get a massage from that guy in the Castro? Or even worse… what if that guy that looks just like Lou Perlman (the pedophile who created all those boy bands), who I met at the Abbey over after my tenth martini (nearly a year and a half ago) calls? AGAIN? I need to know to NOT answer the phone.

» Labor and Delivery: Nothing as Planned Part III
Everyone had advice on how to get the party started, and I tried it all. Spicy food, swimming, squatting, bouncing on a birthing ball, crawling on all fours, and, as my doctor suggested a bit too excitedly as he smiled at Kira, nipple stimulation.

Gentlemen it is time. Time to break open your piggy banks, cash in a money market account or take out a loan. There hasn't been a more exciting menswear season in years. » Why “Black?” Do We Need A Miss Black USA Pageant?
Right after the 2008 pageant I received an email from a friend who happens to be White. He congratulated me on being chosen to emcee the National Black Justice Coalition's, Power Of Us Conference, later this month. And also for being on the cover of Baltimore OutLOUD discussing the organization and the event. The point of his note though was a bit more profound. He points out that the NBJC describes themselves this way; "The Coalition works with the community and their allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia." He then asks, “Isn't it perpetuating racism by separating the organization apart by defining it as "The National Black Justice Coalition"?" "Why can't it just be "The National Justice Coalition"?"

» Big Brother Is Watching But Are We?
"Aren't you...?" "Did you go to school with my sister?" "Oh my God! Marquesas! From Survivor!" I've heard all these things. I'm Marcellas Reynolds, forever to be known as "Marcellas from Big Brother." Kinda like "The Artist Formerly Known As Prince", though not as cool. In some ways it's like being a porn star. It only takes one movie to be a porn star and one show to be a reality star.

    Better the Cyborg You Know
I recently met a boy that I liked. The big red flag flapping in my face (and eventually bashing me in the skull) was the fact he’s an actor. The other red flag was he was just out of a relationship. (AND he’s Canadian.) So we never dated. We “hung out.”

    » Adriatic Adventure
Our weeklong sailing trip on the Adriatic
The seas calmed at 3am and I managed to get some sleep but was of absolutely no use to the captain all night.. he kept watch alone most of the night and got us through the rough ride. I, in the meantime, managed to gain a more serious appreciation for the life of a sailor…and I decided that if they smoke and drink and lead a life of debauchery then good for them… even though there are the calm relaxing contemplativ e moments, life at sea is a roller coaster with mother nature playing the attendant… you either make it through the total ride or you get swallowed up along the way… I prayed that night that we would make it to the end of the ride, and we managed to do that…

Spend five minutes with out Orlando, Fla., City Council member Patty Sheehan and you’ll begin to understand how she managed to get elected in a largely Republican, conservative area like Central Florida. It took more than her engaging smile to win over the 45,000 people in her district and she had to be more than a gay candidate to do it.
