According to CNN exit polls from Indiana and North Carolina, Sen. Hillary Clinton has an early advantage among Democrats concerned about the economy and her rival's relationship with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. In both North Carolina and Indiana, polls showed that 50% or more of those who voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary would vote for Republican nominee John McCain in November if Barack Obama was to become the nominee.

Kentucky Derby Ends in Tragedy
The largest Kentucky Derby crowd of the century gathered at Churchill Downs to witness the 134th running of the world’s most famous horse race. The 2-1 favorite Big Brown pulled out the win, but it was the second place horse that gained the most attention. The only filly in the 20 horse race, Eight Belles came up just shy of victory, but her run ended in tragedy when she was euthanized on the track after a deadly fall.

Gay men and women in St. Petersburg will be marking the first-ever Russian Day of Silence on Saturday May 3 with a rally on Malaya Konyushennaya Street.
